Never share details about yourself such as your name, address, or school name with strangers online.

● Report to a trusted adult/parents if someone makes you feel hurt or uncomfortable online

● If you experience online bullying, tell a trusted adult so they can help you

● Don't accept friend requests from people you don't know

● Never meet up with someone you've only met online.

Get involved in your child's online activities. Stay informed about what your child is doing online and monitor their activities.

● Check age restrictions and ensure your kids only use application and services suited for their age ● Set rules and guidelines for your child's internet use, including what websites and apps they can use and how much time they can spend online.

● Talk to your child often about how to stay safe on the internet and what they should do if they run into trouble.

● Use parental controls on browsers, applications and websites to keep your child from going to inappropriate websites and to keep an eye on what they are doing online.

● Encourage your child to think critically about what they see and read online and to question the validity of information before accepting it as accurate.
